Brentwood - available to buy for the first time since 1977 this spacious and bright two-bedroom detached bungalow boasts a great position overlooking Goose Green to the front and open fields at the back. This home is looking for a new custodian to give it a new lease of life.
The boundary to the front access is brick walled with mature flower beds and shrubs for privacy. The block paved driveway offers ample space for 4-5 cars as well as having a double garage for further parking and eaves storage above for all those items you cannot fit in the loft.
This home must be seen in person to appreciate the space and size of the rooms. The total square footage is over 1200 (114m2) which is configured in to a two-bedroom, two-bathroom format. There is plenty of fitted storage in both bedrooms with the principal bedroom having a dressing room and ensuite bathroom. There is a separate shower room to service the second bed.
The fitted kitchen, very trendy in the 1980’s, has both base and wall units, an integrated gas hob, oven (although these appliances have not been tested) and a large, shelved, larder style cupboard which also houses the emersion tank.
The reception room is the hub of the home, giving plenty of room for both dining table and living room suite. With both front and rear aspect sunlight floods the room even on a winters day.
Adjacent to the spacious reception there’s a beautiful big conservatory which is over 4 meters in length and faces south west. Walking out to the garden there is a block paved patio, steps to the lawned area with a wooden cabin and shed offering even more storage. Mostly laid to lawn there are beautiful views just over the rear hedge of the open fields of the neighbouring estate beyond.
Although the property is currently in a habitable state we understand that most would want to carry out extensive redecoration throughout. Some may wish to do more than that and any further renovation works on the property would be subject to the relevant planning being granted. The neighbouring and surrounding properties have had some renovation completed therefore this could bring the opportunity to undergo significant renovations and create something truly exceptional to your own taste.

Location – Goose Green
This is an area first referred to a ‘Goose Green’ marked on a map dating back to the late 18th Century and has appeared on, just about, every map since! The large triangle of grass, found towards the south of Lyndhurst village, apparently got it’s name from being the place for cackling flocks of geese, and domestic fowl, to graze and is referred to in the mid-20th century by P.H. Carne as ‘The roadside green where commoner’s geese have grazed for centuries’ However this pretty green space, with daffodils and green pasture, would no longer be the best place for your geese with the present day road adjacent.
Lyndhurst is a vibrant and friendly village community where local tradesmen and wildlife live side by side. A perfect spot for outdoor adventurers at Boltons Bench and foodies are spoilt by the selection of brunches, cream teas, Thai food and the many fantastic local pubs to name a few.
